Background
PNKA is a local organization that initiated the formation of the association by a group of founding staff starting in January 1994 and the registration process for the Ministry of Interior to authorize its mission. Phnom Neang Kangri Association is a local organization, a legitimate non-governmental organization, neutral, non-racial, non-religious, non-political, non-profit, non-partisan, working to develop society and reduce poverty in rural areas in Cambodia.
Vision
People, especially those who are marginalized live in prosperity and dignity through the sustainable livelihood and sustainable use of natural resources for the common good of the community.
Mission
Strengthen the collaboration with local authorities and expertise, as well as review existing land, incorporate it into community management plans, and implement it (2) Strengthen the legal capacity of community forest management, leadership, project management and understanding of the REDD + program, and link community work to cooperate with sub-national authorities (3) Increase the income of community members through community organizing, saving money, studying the potential of income-generating programs through farming and growing vegetables as a family (4) conservation, management and reforestation in community forest areas to ensure non-timber forest products to support the livelihood of community members.
