Ponleur Kumar (PK) was localized formerly from Wathnakpheap (WP)/Pestalozzi Children's Village Foundation, an Switzerland-based international NGO (SKIP) - since 2003 and registered with the Cambodia Ministry of the Interior on March 18 2003. Register No.294. PK is a non-political, non-partisan, non-religious, non –profit and grassroots organization. Ponleur Kumar has a Governing Board, which establishes policies and ensures that strategic approaches are consistent with organizational aims. Its current Management Committee comprises of the Director and 2 Financial and Administrator Ofiicer, 2 Field Officer, and 2 Project Coordinators based in the both province. Ponleur Kumar works in partnership with the government, with local and international organizations to strengthen local capacity. Currently PK cooperates with the Ministry of Social Affairs, Labour, Vocational Training, and Youth Rehabilitation, works in partnership with three district governor Pursat Province and Banteay Meanchey Province, to able rural poor communities implementing their project activities such as mention as table below.
Ponleur Kumar is committed to two kinds of main 1.Reduce poverty in rural communities through sustainable community development and empowering vulnerable families and community groups to have access to better services and job opportunities. 2.mplementing the children’s and women’s rights in the northwestern border province of Pursat, Battambang and Banteay Meanchey province in Cambodia.
