Background

HURREDO is a local Cambodian non-profit organization that works to alleviate poverty and helps rural communities to create a sustainable future. The organization was set up in 1999 by a group of Cambodian agriculture and rural development specialists who were passionate about creating a brighter future for the rural communities of Cambodia. On January 19th, 2000 HURREDO was officially recognized and registered with the Ministry of Interior and since then the NGO has been working hard with the Royal Government of Cambodia and other NGOs to improve the living standards of Cambodians.

Mission

HURREDO is moving forward to alleviate poverty through improving the quality of life of Cambodian women, children and their families by coordinating activities for development in rural areas of Cambodia and supporting village self-management committees for social, cultural and environmental development. - In carrying out its mission, HURREDO encourages active support and participation at the village level, and cooperates with other organisations and the Cambodian Royal Government to help rural Cambodia.
