On the afternoon of December 17, 2024, the CPDD coalition, in collaboration with the National Committee for Subnational Democratic Development (NCSD), hosted an important policy briefing session at the Phnom Penh Era Hotel. The session focused on presenting key findings and community feedback gathered through the Yobol.org platform, particularly regarding local health facilities. This session served as a platform for discussing the impact of citizen feedback on the delivery of health services and exploring opportunities for strengthening democratic development at the local level.
The primary objective of the session was to highlight the value of community input in shaping the quality and accessibility of health services in Cambodia. By presenting real-time feedback collected through Yobol.org, participants were able to see firsthand how citizens' voices are being captured and reflected in public service delivery. This feedback included both positive assessments of existing services and critical insights into areas needing improvement, ensuring that local authorities have a comprehensive understanding of the public’s perspective.
The session also provided an invaluable opportunity to facilitate dialogue among a broad range of stakeholders, including government officials, civil society organizations, health service providers, and community representatives. Together, they addressed the challenges facing health service delivery in local areas, such as accessibility, resource allocation, and patient satisfaction. These discussions were aimed at identifying concrete actions that could be taken to improve the effectiveness of health services and ensure that they meet the needs of all citizens.
