Information Session about Sub-grant Application - round 2

With grant support from the Government of Japan through the United Nation Development Program (UNDP), the Coalition for Partnership in Democratic Development (CPDD) is implementing a project called Strengthening Transparency and Accountability in Local Governance through Civic Engagement, with a life span from February 2023 to December 2024.

One of the CPDD's assignments is to manage grant to CSOs that conducts awareness raising and enhance participation in SNA planning and budgeting in the three municipalities, Kampong Cham, Siem Reap, and Ban Lung, and coordinate their activities, and promote CSO participation concerning policies, plans and budgets for the sub-national democratic development at the national level.

CPDD has developed a call for proposal; a compendium of several documents, including sub-grant information, technical proposals template, financial proposal template, selection committee, sub-grant evaluation, and a factsheet. 

CPDD conducted an information-sharing session for CPDD’s members and non-members during its quarterly meetings. The the overall objective is to ensure all potential sub-grantees received clear objectives of the project as well as proper guidance on the proposal application. CPDD planed to onboard the three new sub-grantees in quarter 2 of 2023.

CPDD approached CSOs members and CBOs to prepare for an information session about the application for the sub-grant. The session took place in the afternoon of 18th April 2023. The objectives of the meeting are:

  • to brief a guideline for sub-grant applications for Local NGOs, CBOs, and women-led CSOs/CBOs and
  • to introduce procedures, process, and documents supported during applied sub-grant through the call for proposal in the three municipalities of Banlung, Kampong Cham and Siem Reap.

The meeting was attended by Buddhism for Social Development Action (BSDA), Coalition for Integrity and Social Accountability (CISA), PROMVIHEARTHOR (PVT), Co-operation for Development of Cambodia (CoDeC), Tekdeysovanphum Organisation (TDSP), Nak Akphiwath Sahakum (NAS), RSDOB, Village Support Group (VSG), Help Oldages and Meserable People (HOM), PC, Save Vulnerable Cambodians (SVC), Rural Aid Organization (RAO), Rachna Satrei (RS), CAD, Community Training Organization Development (CTOD), SK, Cooperation For Alleviation of Poverty (COFAP), Ockenden, NGO Education Partnership (NEP), CYK, STAR Kampuchea, WP, Khemara, and Phnom Neang Kangrei Association (PNKA).
