Background
The Disabled People's Organization of Kratie Province was established by a congress on February 18, 2009, as an initiative from individuals with disabilities from the Kratie community under the auspices of the Department of Social Affairs, of Kratie Province, and coordination from the Cambodian Disabled People's Organization (CDPO). The Disabled People's Organization of Kratie Province (KDPO) is a non-governmental organization that is non-political, does not adhere to any ethnic or religious affiliations, does not engage in political party activities, and is not an instrument of any political party. The KDPO has a board of five members and three operational staff, registered with the Ministry of Interior on July 16, 2010, under registration number 1065. This organization was created to seek support from society on disability issues, to eliminate and prevent negative perceptions of person with disabilities, to promote rights as a foundation, to encourage and provide opportunities for person with disabilities to achieve full and equal participation in society, so that person with disabilities can live with independence, freedom, safety, dignity, respect for rights, skills, and livelihoods. It ensures that all person with disabilities of all types and ages receive proper support and attention from policymakers and various service providers, ensuring effectiveness without being excluded from development. The Disabled People's Organization of Kratie Province is an organization formed by the movement of persons with disabilities, working to serve the disability sector, promote rights, welfare, and living conditions of person with disabilities as a non-governmental organization and has made progress along the way.

The organization will work to "promote an inclusive for disabilities" by seeking support from local authorities at all levels and all stakeholders, especially national and international donors in the field of disabilities, to implement policies, guidelines, decision-making processes, and practices that allow for comprehensive development that includes everyone without neglecting or excluding any group, especially persons with disabilities.
