Background
Banteay Srei, also known as Citadel of Women is a registered Cambodian NGO with over twenty-five years of experience in partnering with vulnerable Cambodian women and rural communities to bring about political, economic, and societal transformation. Originally stemming from the International Women’s Development Agency (IWDA), an Australian NGO, Banteay Srei has emerged as a leading Cambodian NGO in promoting gender equality,women’s rights, and amplifying community efforts to cultivate positive gender relations and combat Gender‐Based Violence (GBV) in Cambodia.

Mission
Banteay Srei is a Cambodian women’s non‐governmental organisation that empowers women and their families to enhance their political, economic, and psycho‐social well-being. We achieve this through mobilizing communities for sustainable development, advocating for gender justice, and promoting men’s engagement in advancing gender equality.
