CPDD Hosts 2024 Annual Convention in Kampong Thom to Strengthen Member Collaboration and Support Strategic Directions

On December 5, 2024, the Coalition for Partnership in Democratic Development (CPDD) successfully hosted its 2024 Annual Convention in Kampong Thom province, bringing together a wide array of member organizations from across Cambodia. The convention provided an important platform for members to engage in meaningful discussions, share ideas, and collaborate on the future direction of the coalition.

Throughout the event, members actively participated in a variety of sessions, which culminated in the development of several key plans aimed at improving communication and fostering stronger collaboration between CPDD and its members. The shared goal was to enhance the effectiveness of the coalition’s work, ensuring that all members are well-supported in their efforts to promote democratic governance and decentralization reforms across the country.

One of the most significant outcomes of the event was the alignment of CPDD’s strategic priorities with the needs and perspectives of its members. A key focus of the convention was securing member support for the 2025–2030 Implementation Plan of the CPDD Strategic Directions (2021–2030). This ambitious plan aims to guide the coalition's actions and initiatives over the next decade, with a focus on advancing local governance, promoting transparency, and strengthening democratic participation at the grassroots level.

The 2024 Annual Convention not only provided an opportunity for reflection on the coalition’s past achievements but also set the stage for an energized and unified approach to advancing democratic governance and decentralization reforms over the next six years. The event was a key step in strengthening the bond between CPDD and its members, ensuring that the coalition remains a vital force in driving positive change across Cambodia.
