Second Courtesy Meeting to Discuss the Implementation and Expansion of the AWD Field Project

Kandal Province: On Tuesday 15 September, 2026—the Coalition for Partnership in Democratic Development (CPDD) held a second courtesy meeting to discuss the preparation, implementation, and expansion of the Alternate Wetting and Drying Field (AWD) project. The meeting was attended by a high-level representative of H.E. Prak Sarat, Deputy Governor of Kandal Province, along with representatives from Thankscarbon, NAS, and other stakeholders, totaling 13 participants (including 4 women).

 

The meeting focused on the implementation of the AWD project in Kandal Province, involving coordination among the Provincial Department of Agriculture, the Provincial Department of Water Resources, Thankscarbon, CPDD, and other stakeholders. Participants also agreed to establish a provincial-level technical working group to oversee technical aspects and ensure the project's effective implementation.
