Women Organization for Modern Economy and Nursing (WOMEN) is a Cambodian NGO working towards a society where the rights of vulnerable people and all children are respected; and they have access to health, social services and improved livelihoods through sustainable development. WOMEN was founded in 1993 and registered as a national nongovernmental, non-political and non-profit organization by the Minister of Interim Council on December 21, 1993. WOMEN was re-registered with Ministry of the Interior (number 314D) on 11 April 2000.
Since its inception WOMEN has implemented development programs to improve the situation of poor, vulnerable and sick Cambodians especially women and children in Phnom Penh municipality, Kandal, Prey Veng, Oddar Meanchey, Prash Vihear and Kratie province. WOMEN delivers programs on impact mitigation for HIV and AIDS, Child Rights, Gender, positive parenting and Climate Change Adaptation.
WOMEN is a community based organization that delivers effective programs working to improve quality of life of the most vulnerability people in poor communities, ethnic minority communities to achieve their potential and contribute to social sustainability development through build up the capacity, networking and followed the national law and government policy by establishment MOU and sub-contract working with national level, sub-national level, NGO, private sectors and other stakeholder for partnership working which part of development and social support gaps and working together addressing to support to the most of vulnerabilities children, people that affected from unprotected for children, health HIV/AIDS, social issue, climate change, natural disaster and community development.
In- line with the National Strategic Plan in the respond to HIV/AIDS epidemic in Cambodia, as well as the progress and lessons learned in the multisectoral response, WOMEN implementing programs to benefit our beneficiaries specifically vulnerable children, PLHIV, marginalized adolescents in target Provinces and community. Practically, WOMEN contributes to the success on national response by scaling up children protection, social work, positive parenting, HIV/AIDS/STI prevention, care, Sexual and reproductive health impact mitigation services and efforts, improving coordination, advocacy, engaging multisectoral response and improving the community participation on climate change and adaptation, natural resource conservation through facility and community based network. Specifically, WOMEN decentralizing the response through encouraging community participation and close collaboration with public health services, community development on climate change, building capacity, generating capacity information for project planners and regularly monitoring and evaluating project implementation activities. A thirty years experienced organization on Community development, Home Base Care, children right, positive, community development and climate change adaptation. WOMEN delivers effective programs that help communities build their capacity to accept their social responsibility towards the disadvantage members specifically People Living with HIV/AIDS (PLHA) and Orphans and Vulnerable Children specifically on child protection activities and income generation activities and marginalized adolescents in their community to ensure that they are protected; climate change and adaptation and their quality of life is improved.
As evident, the integration of Child Protection Project contributes to the reduction of abuse, neglect and exploitation of children in target communities. It has four components ranging from children being protected from abuse and exploitation, children receiving positive parental care. They are protected from harmful, degrading treatment and punishment, improve information systems on child protection, and
effective project management. The project focus on strengthening capacity of children and community and local agencies, direct projection and support facilities, and awareness raising campaign and advocacy activities.
Our strategies are likely to be effective because our work in these areas will build on our existing experience of the implementation of programs in PLHIV rights, there is some existing community understanding of the needs of PLHIV, PLHIV support groups and their families, the project offers practical assistance, WOMEN operates effective home based care program in with technical support by Provincial Health Department, NCHADS, Child Fund, Save the Children, Global fund, RHAC, AIDS Health Care Foundation and other donors generally viewed as successful. Furthermore, we are using the community bas approach participation for sharing, learning and change behavior, whereby they actively identify their own needs and play a part in meeting them. In addition, program staff, monks, volunteers and community participants will receive information and training which they can use after the program concludes. The community volunteers already act as a community support service and this project builds on this community mechanism and the activity aims to raise community awareness of the issues but also to offer practical examples of how support can be maintained. WOMEN have effective program for support the most vulnerable people that affected from climate change and adaption to increasingly the quality of life.

To insure all children in target community are safety from sexual abuse, domestic violence, traffic danger, natural and climate change danger, children get participation in formal school, reporting about their issue and support on time. Protection and inclusion of children discriminated due to their sexual orientation and gender identity/expression (SOGIE), and Promoting Citizen Engagement for Improving Quality Services at Sub-National Level”.

To promote the PLHIV, OVC and families have good quality of life through received knowledge of Prevention and health care for living long life with
HIV/AIDS, basic need support, referral support for received health service OIs and ARV. Home base care team staffs need to spend much time at community with PLHIV and their children who have problem such as serous sick, hopeless, poor condition of living.
